Capitalism... and its Woes... but its capable with....

I read a book recently called "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie as extra credit for a class I took.

This book really influenced me, along with the recent events in America such as 2008 Financial Crisis, Occupy Wall Street movement, and other Big Business problems here and globally.

What has also been helpful in thinking about this has been talks with an older family member about some history in this country in the 1900s before I was born: Los Angeles and Racism and White flight, Manufacturing going out of country, anti-Union companies, low minimum wage and poor conditions, toxic bosses and leadership, JFK and Union history, and how the top 1 % of people have a combined net worth of 30% of all household wealth, while the bottom 50 % has 1.9% of all wealth.

Along this thread of thinking has been the polarized politics of Republicans and Democrats.  And how very different groups of people are grouped into these two groups based on who supports their special interest/etc.  Republicans are known for hands off government and free market strategies to increase the economy, but can throw gas on the cut-throat-business fire.  Democrats are known for supporting higher minimum wage and health care for the poor, as well as advocating for better treatment of people in the workplace and society.  These ideas are supported by higher taxes which put a damper on the economy.  I think there is good and bad ideas on both sides of the aisle.

What strikes me about this book by Carnegie is the glaring contrast of "How to be successful in business" while at the same time helping everyone else around you succeed, be treated well, feel needed, respected and important....

…..compared to the other dark side of capitalism..... with the cutthroat business people who don't care about the wage earners, the people at the bottom, who only care about profits that make them look good and look good to investors and stock holders.

Carnegie's example of Charles Schwabe, a very successful business man who also actually cared about his employees and knew many by name.

Why can't we have success and profit to the benefit of others, instead of the detriment of others?  What happened to that mentality?  What happened to that decency?

When money is more important than people society will crumble, because that's idolatry.  Simply put, when society has a different value system that God's.

Of course, this shifting of society away from its good foundation started happening when the "first and foremost idolatry" started happening increasingly, that is, idolatry against God Himself, which came about with the shifting in scientific thinking from the Mosaic Pentateuch as our history to more and more Evolution and Long Ages as explaining human history.

This very influential shift started around the 1600-1700s with Charles Lyell's Principles of Geology and then Charles Darwin's Origin Of Species, to the point that today people are taught that evolution is an undisputable fact, the Bible a Myth, and there is no reason to think there is a God.  And they are fully convinced of this.

Judeo-Christian history, theism and creationism has been relegated to the pseudo-science realm, where any scientist who dares consider such concepts in glaring contrast to Evolutionary Theory will find him or herself scantily supported by the Scientific Establishment.

So the question is... how do you get a capitalistic society to function well?  How do you get more Charles Schwabe's out there leading in the business world such that the people at the bottom of the company love and respect their leadership, and are able to make a good living working to provide a good service or product to the world?  Is it Trump?  Biden?  Obama?  Regan?  Clinton?

The answer is God.  If you read books from 50+ years ago you notices some differences.  They weren't as anti-Christianity or anti-God as people are today.  They would freely quote the Bible or people who believed in God like Abraham Lincoln.  Today that is extremely Taboo to speak favorably of Biblical Christianity, Creationism or God.  I noticed this big time with Carnegie's book.  It was refreshing.  Took me back to a time that had their sh-t more together.  Christianity, and by the way by Christianity I mean "the truth of where we came from, why were here and where were going when we die", had pervaded society so much more 50+ years ago.  Not that everyone was a Christian, but they were usually friendly to Christianity and had some fear of God in their hearts.  Not like today when young people talk about blood sacrifices and perversion and racism and all kinds of crap.

The devil has successfully screwed this country over, and I don't think its coming back, bar Jesus returning.

Undermining Genesis with Evolution has been the most successful strategy of Satan to screw America over.

And I don't think any politician is going to be able to save this country because humans are so bad nowadays, so corrupt, from the top to the bottom, we've lose our way.... and only a Revival would turns things around.   Which I don't think is going to happen.

Like anything else, things can be used for good or bad.  Computers and the Internet can be used for extreme good and extreme bad.  Hugely more efficient businesses, or major crime.

Same with weapons and guns.  You can protect your family and country with them, or you can do unimaginable evil with them.

Question:  What makes the difference whether things are used for good or bad?

Answer:  The people who use the things.

Question:  How do you make people good so they use things for good not bad?

Answer:  Teach them the truth of Jesus and the Biblically History, and to submit themselves to God individually, responsibly.  See 1 Peter 3:10-12:

“THE ONE WHO DESIRES LIFE, TO LOVE AND SEE GOOD DAYS,

MUST KEEP HIS TONGUE FROM EVIL AND HIS LIPS FROM SPEAKING DECEIT.

“HE MUST TURN AWAY FROM EVIL AND DO GOOD;

HE MUST SEEK PEACE AND PURSUE IT.

“FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE TOWARD THE RIGHTEOUS,

AND HIS EARS ATTEND TO THEIR PRAYER,

BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST EVILDOERS.”

But society is teaching the youth that LGTBQ+ is the new truth, and that we came from Evolution and not God.  Selfishness is a virtue.  The self is the most important in society.  Individualism.  Moral Relativism.  Not such thing as absolute truth.  Make your own truth.  Do what you will.  No such thing as sin.  God is a fairy tale.  Now go out there and be a good boy!
